Pros

Good benefits, unlimited PTO, great coworkers, and I got a decent laptop with no issues.

Cons

I was hired as a remote employee, they were a remote first company and told me I could stay remote. Then a little while later they laid off 25% of their workforce. Now they have started telling people they have to come into the office twice per week if they live within 40 miles. Also, they are choosing to do this while simultaneously moving their Atlanta office almost 20 miles away from where it is now. It’s a logistical mess. They will tell you one thing now and switch it up in a few months later, so I would not be surprised if within a year they will require everyone to come in to the office every day. Just be prepared for them to switch things like this up on you, no matter what bill of goods they try to sell you when you’re getting hired.

OneTrust Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your OneTrust experience. It's great to see you enjoyed your benefits package, flexibility, and technology. We couldn't agree more about your coworkers; OneTrust employees are smart, driven, and fun to collaborate with. OT is proud of its people and the relationships they build with each other. OneTrust leaders also value employees and their feedback. A big piece of feedback they've been hearing is that employees want more opportunities to collaborate and celebrate wins together. Our Working@ OneTrust initiative is our way of formalizing where we hire, how we work together, and where we work as part of our hybrid model. The underlying "Why" is that we are intentional about the culture that we want to create together. This includes bringing teams together in-person, throughout the year, to collaborate, build connections, learn from each other, and celebrate our wins to Finish Stronger. We are a young company, but we are growing. As we prepare to hire and grow more this year, we need clarity on the types of roles and skill sets we need and where those roles need to be located to best serve our customers. Like many companies, OneTrust is navigating what it means to operate in a post-pandemic world. Ultimately, we want to be intentional about accelerating the culture we want to build, focused on a customer-first approach. We are aligned and believe the best way to do that is to bring teams together in times that matter – to Connect, Be Curious, and Collaborate.

Pros

Not sure what there are anymore. Everyone I know from when I started in 2019 is now gone forcibly or they were smart and left. I believe the product itself is phenomenal, and the SE`s and PSO teams are top notch. As an AE, though, there was no stability. Direct Managers were great except for one. I would not recommend OT for sales or legal, but I would for any technical positions. .

Cons

New territory every quarter. Former AE`s sold bad deals which created messes to constantly clean up. Not renewing went against your number, and no one is buying till you fix the issues which is a massive time suck, and you are on an island to oversee the fixes. Spend 40 hours over 3 months writing a new SOW for 300k and 0 goes towards your number. You get paid a little, but who cares if it isn't going towards your number. MUST be a top 5 performer every quarter to survive, no excuses, even if the excuses are legitimate concerns for OTs longevity. Leadership became hyper focused on getting to IPO and quit putting their customers first.

Pros

Open to remote work is a plus

Cons

Senior leadership has had 3 mass layoffs since covid, all of which has been unceremonious. CEO and most of the C Suite are totally incompetent, don’t work here if you have other options
