I Fear for my Team

Pros

My peers and direct manager have been awesome.

Cons

OneTrust has grown beyond what can be effectively managed by the team that is in place. This was a problem before, but was greatly exacerbated by a recent deep (25%) cut in headcount. Different departments seemingly are not aligned on strategy and there is significant internal infighting around resourcing and approach. These conversations often border in the unprofessional. Cuts were seemingly arbitrary with entire teams eliminated. As a result major initiatives across departments are hanging by a thread. Morale is at absolute rock bottom, and I have watched with dismay as the best of my team and peers have departed. I worry that we are reaching a point that is unsustainable.

950 laid off

Business Outlook

Pros

the people you work with directly, unlimited PTO, 100% healthcare. Option to work from home. Can't beat the benefits.

Cons

-Laid off 950 employees leaving everyone completely blindsided. -Something like that takes planning which makes no sense considering the massive amount of hiring they were doing in November/December. You don't decide to lay off almost 1/3 of your staff overnight. -Pay raises were promised in May, then June came and we were actually laid off. - No transparency from upper management - direct managers never know what is going on - They continued to hire for VPs and SVPs days prior to laying off 950 people

Pros

They say people-first culture is their priority but they lay off people in 1 hour. People had to work late at night. No work life balance

Cons

It is not a secure work place. You start a regular work day. You may find yourself unemployed after 2 hours.
