Pros

Relatively good people. Well meaning.

Cons

This company is run like an undergraduate business school group project. Literally, what did we learn to do today and whats the flavor/ new idea of the month. All talk, no execution. The organization is legal and finance led, not sales led. Its incredibly difficult to do your job in any customer facing role, and the company repeatedly leaves you on an island and looking foolish with customers. I feel sleazy selling this product to customers as OT struggles to deliver. Managers top to bottom always disappear when the going gets tough and they need to be the most present. Additionally, this is a ridiculously high churn sales org with 6 interim or full time CRO's in my first 24 months and just as many first line managers. Unconfirmed, but rumored rep churn exceeds 50%. A tiny percent of AE's meet their number and that is typically just strategic reps and sales specialists. Large corporate and enterprise are a hot mess. Finally, they will not promote from within. ALL sales leadership was brought in from the outside, not one single rep has been promoted to a leadership role in the two years Ive been here.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While it's great to see you like the people you work with, It's disappointing to learn that you've had a negative experience at OneTrust so far. We just wrapped up FY26 SKO, and we have a lot of positive momentum going into the new year. Our new Chief Revenue Officer, Roger Egan, has been at OneTrust for seven months now and we've already seen a ton of progress to our GTM teams since he joined. There's more work ahead too like rolling out a refreshed sales enablement onboarding program and management enablement support which will be incredibly helpful for the Sales org. That said, at OneTrust, we know there's always room for growth and improvement. We still have more we want to accomplish before we meet the level of maturity we're aiming for, and that's why now is the perfect time to join our team. We all have the opportunity to build a foundation for what we want to be a generational company someday, and we can influence processes and make a real impact on customers. One of the biggest points covered in SKO and CKO this month has been the opportunity in front of us at OneTrust. We're defining trust in the AI era, and our products are proving to be the right solution for our 14,000 customers and their data challenges. We look forward to the rest of this fiscal year and beyond as we continue helping organizations use data and AI responsibly.

Pros

Strong product & promising market Love my immediate colleagues who are all doing the best they can considering the circumstances.

Cons

Everyone walks around in fear of losing their job. Direction and strategy seem to shift with the wind. Leaders don't want to be in the details but also can't provide a strategy beyond taglines.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It's disappointing to see that you aren't enjoying your time at OneTrust. Like you said, our product is strong and has a lot of momentum in the market. We have a huge growing TAM with tons of opportunity to help companies use data and AI responsibly. This hasn't always been OneTrust's focus though, as the company started 8 short years ago in the privacy space. Like other successful software startups, we've evolved our mission over time, and we're excited by the opportunities of the OneTrust platform today and into the future. The reason for these changes? It's the frequent changes in data regulations, AI, technology, and society. We owe it to our 14,000 customers to stay ahead of the market and provide a best-in-class platform. We acknowledge this evolution comes with a lot of internal shifts and strategy changes. We also realize this comes with leadership changes. On a journey to mature and scale, this is natural trajectory that companies like us go through. We look forward to what this means for OneTrust's future.
