Pros

Pros: Ownership, executive exposure, great colleagues, supportive management, fast-paced No single company is right for everyone. I came to OneTrust from Salesforce (always named one of the top companies to work for) and I much prefer OneTrust (which, admittedly, has pretty bad Glassdoor reviews). Salesforce was fine, but there was no push for excellence. It's where you go when you're ready to cruise in your career and get some incredible family benefits. OneTrust, on the other hand, is the perfect place for someone looking to really push themselves in their career. We are trying to build an excellent company, so yes, there is an expectation of excellence, and no, we cannot afford having people onboard who just want to cruise. Some people may feel like this is a stressful environment, but I personally love it -- after all, you can't grow without a bit of stress. More importantly, even though you're being pushed, you are never alone. I'm 4 months in and I've already had the CEO, CTO, and MD for the UK on my customer calls. Not to mention, my managers and general SE team are the best I've ever had and I know they'd drop anything to help me out if I needed it. This goal of achieving market dominance is a team effort and I really feel a sense of camaraderie in that. Going off of that, I've also never had so much fun with colleagues. I came in 2 days before lock-down, so most of my onboarding has been virtual. The team has been so welcoming, and I already consider many of them my friends. Bottom line: come here if you want a fast-paced, challenging, fun, engaging work environment. Skip it if you want to cruise.

Cons

Family-oriented benefits (though these aren't really relevant to me right now, anyway)

Pros

Some of the people are very talented

Cons

Lack of organization, managers and other higher ups are clueless about certain aspects of their job, CEO is too involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, work-life balance is nonexistent, uncertainty about the direction the company is headed in, no companywide work from home policy (I know, strange for a tech company), just overall a not so great place to be.

Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to highlight your talented peers! As a 4-year-old business, like any business from start-up to Fortune 500, we are constantly rethinking and iterating on how to best organize our teams and processes in order to continue to deliver excellence for our customers. We have a process every quarter to continue to refine our processes, and our growth and success in the market are certainly indicators that this continues to be successful as we grow, mature and iterate. As the fastest growing company in the industry and with a management team with a history of building and scaling businesses that are built to last, our employees and customers choose to work with OneTrust primarily because of our long-term outlook and our ability to invest in the market, our team and our product. Certainly during the COVID period, all companies in the market globally had a moment of uncertainty and OneTrust was no different and fortunately, the market we are in recovered quickly. We set expectations during the recruitment process that this is not your typical 9 to 5 job. With a 4-year growth rate of 48,000% and #1 standing in a highly competitive market, things move fast here and we understand that this isn't going to be the right environment for everyone. We can't say enough about the efforts put forth by our talented team and we continue to find opportunities to help our employees balance their work and home lives. We have increased the number of vacation days across our global offices consistently every year including a "Community Day" dedicated to diversity learning and engagement, and even just announced a day off this year in September for employee appreciation. We value employee participation so feel free to reach out to your HR Business Partner if you have any concerns, suggestions or questions. Thank you!
