Pros

The pay was pretty competitive at the time and they offer bonuses based off of your performance annually. They also offered stock before the company was publicly traded.

Cons

I worked here for about a year from playing 2021 to 2022. During my time here the the company was very unorganized and did not have a lot of processes or procedures in place. They also did mass layoffs in the summer 2022.

Pros

Mostly fair compensation and benefits. The occasional manager who really cares about their employees over kissing up to the higher-ups.

Cons

My experience was good at first and I loved the people I worked with and my managers. But it became less and less so with every round of layoffs. They seem to always fire the employees with the longest tenure and most tribal knowledge who are very loved by their team. Doing this by the hundreds year after year and eventually you have managers who are clueless and will continue to be clueless because everyone else who’s left is clueless. The most beloved and tenured manager in my department was laid off seemingly because they didn’t stroke the egos of the higher-ups as well as they should have. Regardless of the fact that they had the highest performing team and knew more about the inner workings of the confusing processes and systems than all the other managers combined. Leaving that team to be run by someone with less than 6 months on the job without a clue how it all works. What was a well oiled machine of a team was inexplicably torn apart and left to pick up the pieces without the knowledge of how to do so. Management makes ego driven decisions that have negative effects across the board yet hides this from the higher-ups making themselves look good while masking reality.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It's disappointing to learn about your experience, especially regarding the layoffs and their impact on team dynamics and morale. OneTrust continues to give employees the opportunity to provide feedback in a number of ways. We just had our newest iteration of our engagement survey which is completely anonymous, and our Executive team and leaders are reading every comment to understand and act on our employees' experiences. We look forward to enhancements to the employee experience in the future. Like many companies, we regularly assess our organizational needs to best serve our customers and position the company to get where we want to go. Our most recent restructure was aimed at significantly enhancing our speed, responsiveness, and flexibility. The restructuring was carefully considered, and we repositioned many employees into new business units and roles to minimize the impact on our workforce. Unfortunately, some employees were affected, and we have supported them through this transition. While this transition brings change, it also presents immense opportunities. Our commitment to support our customers remains unwavering, and we are confident that we will continue to foster greater innovation, success, and sustained growth.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. While it's nice to see you like your colleagues, it's disappointing to learn you aren't enjoying your role on the OneTrust Engineering team. Our Compensation team conducts annual pay reviews to ensure fair and competitive compensation, so it's unfortunate that wasn't your experience. Like many companies, we regularly assess our organizational needs to best serve our customers and position the company for long-term success. We acknowledge the contributions of those that have been part of the OneTrust team and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.
