Pros

helpful teammates all dealing with the same chaotic environment

Cons

Pay is far below market. You will not find a competitive offer and you will not grow here, find any current employee and ask for their experience. You may find career growth in spite of this, but it will be a painful process. The product does not work reliably. If you are in a customer facing role, regardless of your job description, you will spend significant amounts of time with product escalations. You will find dead-ends, no responses, and be left to solve on your own. Leadership does not communicate well and does not have a coherent strategy. Half the executive team recently left at once, days prior to another set of layoffs. The CEO thanked the team for being enthusiastic about recent org changes (read: layoffs). I want to assure anyone reading this, there was no enthusiasm amongst this team. On top of all of this, a poorly planned and executed RTO is underway with unclear expectations and no feedback heard from the organization as a whole and the lives affected by such a change - again, with very little communication. Save yourself the trouble, go find a company that will pay what your time and effort is worth, give you a clear definition of your role and expectations, and provide a product that can be sold with confidence that it will meet use cases without significant issue.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It's disappointing to hear that you've had a negative experience. We appreciate that you highlighted the supportiveness of your teammates, even in challenging circumstances. We recognize the importance of competitive compensation and career growth, and we're proud of the work our People team has done to conduct annual pay reviews and manage performance. At OneTrust, we believe career progression and advancement can happen in a number of ways - through new assignments or rotational opportunities, learning new skills, ETG leadership roles, exposure to new customers or problems to solve, and promotions. When you’re defining and operating in a dynamic market there are no shortage of those opportunities. Within the last year, many of our team members were also promoted or moved laterally into new roles within the company. That said, we know there's always room for improvement, so we look forward to the future enhancements our People team will make. We recognize that company reorganizations can sometimes feel unsettling. Like many companies, we regularly assess our organizational needs to best serve our customers and position the company to get where we want to go. Our most recent restructure is aimed at significantly enhancing our speed, responsiveness, and flexibility. The restructuring was carefully considered, and we repositioned many employees into new business units and roles to minimize the impact on our workforce. Unfortunately, some employees were affected, and we have supported them through this transition. While this transition brings change, it also presents immense opportunities. Our commitment to support our customers remains unwavering, and we are confident that we will continue to foster greater innovation, success, and sustained growth.

Thanks for sharing your positive experience. It's great to see you're enjoying your time at OneTrust so far! We're proud of the work our Total Rewards team has done over the years to enhance employee benefits and compensation. They've introduced annual merit increases and bonuses and unlimited PTO within the last handful of years, and they continue to evaluate the best options for our people to ensure they can succeed both in and out of the office. As you mentioned, we've also experienced rapid growth over the years. We had first mover advantage in privacy, and we've since introduced additional products to ensure our 14,000 customers have what they need to have successful data transformations. As the technological landscape becomes even more complex, OneTrust and its people are ready to answer the call and help organizations from all industries and segments use data and AI responsibly. Thanks again for your feedback.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. It's disappointing to read about your experience. We do agree that our market opportunities are exciting especially as we continue to innovate our solutions. The demand for using data and AI responsibly continues to rise, and OneTrust is answering the call by providing solutions to a number of complex problems. Our Sales team has a giant, growing TAM at their fingertips. This in combination with the addition of our new CRO, Roger Egan, makes now a great time to be part of our GTM team. We look forward to his direction and guidance. OneTrust has always been an evolving company since its inception 8 years ago. It all starts with the markets in which we operate and the ever-evolving data and AI landscape. We owe it to our customers to shift our strategy at times in order to meet their needs. Our leaders recognize this can result in some ambiguity and internal changes. It also provides a dynamic, fun environment for those who are excited to build and roll up their sleeves. Additionally, one of the People team's upcoming projects is developing a brand new management & people leader development program. This will provide a consistent north star and set a foundation for a culture of learning and success among all our teams globally. We are excited to see this project come to life soon.
