Not Right For Me

Pros

Awesome facilities, Owner pays for parties, and gatherings to try and build a good team atmosphere. Owners donate time and money to charity.

Cons

Staff has cliques and does not want to help new employees much. Management has friends or favorites that get promotions (not based on merit) and are treated differently than some other team members . As you can see from the management perspective on here, you are awesome and "fit in" if you work here, and if you work here and leave, you are a "bad apple" and they did not want you there to begin with. It is quite narcissistic for Smart IT management to believe that when someone leaves, they are a "bad apple" and should get over it. I have enjoyed great success EVERYWHERE that I have worked prior to this job, and after this job so I hope that I am not considered a "bad apple" that is immature and needs to get over it as stated in one review on here. People have success at some places, and do not have that same success at others.

The right people in place

Pros

As a full-time employee who has worked for this organization for many years, I have seen a number of individuals come and go. I can honestly say that going into 2017, we are equipped with a solid team of individuals, in all departments, who want to be here, who are committed to success, and who do not seek drama. Yes, we have lost "talented" and "top performing" individuals in the past, but not all of those people have been right for SmartIT from a cultural standpoint. Looking back over 2016 and the staff changes, the right people have moved on, whether by their own choice, or in some cases, by the company's choice. I am proud to work for an organization constantly striving to do better. An organization not afraid of change, not afraid to admit mistakes, willing to make tough decisions, and committed to doing what is in the best interest of the employees.

Cons

Past employees who can't let go. When the "bad apples" submit negative review after negative review, their claims become less and less valid. It's ok to move on and it's ok to have unsettled feelings, but one post is enough. It's clear these individuals are not fulfilled professionally and their juvenile behavior is very telling of their true character. As stated before - the right people are no longer here.

Pros

The job had decent pay and the job I went to has a very nice boss who was very easy to work for and with. I have been a stay at home Mom for a number of years and it gave me much needed job experience for my resume.

Cons

I don't have any particular cons to add here. I had a very positive experience with this company. I just wish my assignment would have lasted longer, or been a permanent assignment.
