Pros

I really tried to think of some. But the only one I could come up with is that you sometimes get to travel around the country.

Cons

- Overworked - 12 hour days no break is a regular - Poor pay for intensive labor - Questionable testing, quality issues - Little to no management accountability - No communication at all, some days you are told the day of that you have to drive for 6+ hours - Little to no regard for safety gear - Overbooking - Disorganization to an extreme - Poor equipment maintenance, refusing to buy replacements for old or inoperable equipment - Procrastinating months before getting company trucks and trailers serviced, registration renewed, or even simple oil changes

Thank you for your feedback some of which I am hearing for the first time. This division, as an example, receives weekly communications regarding safety, often discussing PPE, job hazard analysis, and job planning. All of those activities would afford an opportunity to address any PPE concerns. We pride ourselves on being a winner of the National Safety Council’s Occupational Excellence Achievement Award multiple years in a row as well as the National Safety Council’s Industry Leadership Award. Pros

Hotel points, airline points, PTO, mostly easy work

Cons

The biggest con to this job was being on the road 90% of the year in small little towns with nothing good to eat. On top of that.... the higher ups make promises after promises that they never come forth on unless it is for screwing the people in the field. Lastly, they would rather keep people that are lazy, incompetent and drunks who don't question their reality and are content missing out on their own personal lives.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to learn new methods or instrumentation.

Cons

Lack of professionalism on behalf of the majority of management/leadership. A large amount of inexperience within lab personnel. The vast majority of employees show up for a pay check, so the employees who are hard-working get ran into the ground. The office atmosphere is clique-ish. If you brown-nose the right people, you can get away with murder which could be a pro for some people.
