Hi,
We highly appreciate that you took the time to tell us about your experience with OpenClassrooms. Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much for your comment: indeed, it is very important for us at OpenClassrooms to make sure everyone is aligned with the company goals, but also that everyone within the company shares a set of values and soft skills.
Human values and their alignment with our values (we care, we dare, we persist, we tell it as it is) are very important and take a large importance when it comes to choosing the right collaborators. I'm delighted to see that on those subjects we met your expectations.
Regarding the complex organization, this is something I am aware of. This is not something I want to see at OpenClassrooms, so I am actively working on this, with the help of our leadership team and the wider team. We want to simplify more and more.
Recent results show that the employee engagement and Employer Net Promoter Score increased quite significantly, and is well above market standards. We are still very committed to making it even better and better.
I know everything is going very fast at OpenClassrooms, that’s because we want to make education accessible to the largest number of people around the world. That means reaching a maximum of individuals (objective: 1 million job placements in 2025), and therefore growing fast to complete that goal in a reasonable time. That can be sometimes difficult, and it’s probably not for everyone, but it also has a lot of advantages (intellectual stimulation, permanent and fast learning state of mind).
Regarding the workload, we have an open-door policy: if your workload is too high, feel free to reach out to your manager, HR or myself directly to see where the problem comes from and think together to design the best solution to make sure the workload is acceptable. We also provide access to Qare, a visio solution to help you get in touch with doctors such as therapists if you have problems handling some situations at work, especially during this lockdown.
Finally, we have implemented a series of actions to lower the stress and the workload: no-meeting days, meeting guidelines to reduce the number and length of meetings and increase their efficiency, massive investments on automation, reduction of the number of internal tools, many new recruitments, etc.
Thank you again so much,
Pierre Dubuc, CEO of OpenClassrooms.
