Pros

My experience with OpenSesame has been nothing short of exceptional. At OpenSesame, I feel a strong sense of belonging and purpose. The company's dedication to fostering a positive work culture is evident. The Leadership Team consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that employees feel valued and supported. Regular 1:1's, open-door policies, and a genuine interest in personal and professional growth are just some of the ways they demonstrate their care. It's truly refreshing to be part of an organization that views its employees as true partners in the success of the business. One of the many things that set OpenSesame apart is its belief that every individual has the potential to effect positive change in the organization. Innovation and creativity are encouraged at every level, and employees are empowered to share their ideas and insights. Every employee from the many interns on up has direct access to the CEO. Every voice matters. In terms of career growth, OpenSesame surpasses expectations. The company offers comprehensive training programs, mentorship opportunities, and avenues for skill development. They recognize that an investment in their employees' growth translates to a stronger, more capable workforce. Diversity matters. OpenSesame through a variety of ways- both internally and externally- works to build self-sustaining systems that prevent the resurgence of racism and accelerate the advancement of people of color. OpenSesame is a place where employees can bring their authentic selves to work each day. From the welcoming atmosphere to the emphasis on personal and professional growth, I am honored to be part of an organization that not only values its employees but also strives to leave a lasting, positive mark on the world through learning and development. If you're seeking a company where you can truly make a difference, look no further than OpenSesame.

Cons

Health Insurance for families is cost prohibitive. Teams run lean. Hours tend to be US-focused but that is changing.

Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

The work culture here is the worse I've ever experienced. No clear strategy or focus, departments do not work well together, no prioritization, and no fun or excitement. You are overworked and feel like you're literally running on a hamster wheel here. There's these nice leadership retreats (ex: Coachella/Palm Springs) that happen every quarter but they still can't figure out how to improve things at the company level. Who knows what's discussed at these retreats because I never see any changes or improvements after each one. Some people legit flying under the rug and get away with doing the absolute bare minimum, close to nothing. It's pretty sad to see especially when other individuals and other departments are held accountable for goals and actually doing work but some people aren't. Everyone thinks the marketing department has challenges (which they do) but it's actually the entire organization that has a work culture issue, and that trickles down to the marketing department as well. How the sales team treats and talks to the marketing team is a cultural issue that needs to improve asap. Everyone needs to do better. Meetings, meetings, and more meetings. When do you have time to do work and get things done? There's meetings about meetings. More to-dos and tasks from meetings. Meetings with no clear agendas. Just meeting to say you had a meeting. It's sad this company provides professional development and helps companies with onboarding and retention but no one has talked to me about my professional growth and development or helped me develop a career growth plan, and I had a very poor, non-existent onboarding experience. OpenSesame doesn't walk the talk. OpenSesame qualified is a joke.
