Pros

Flexible workday. Typical corporate attitude from the 1980s.

Cons

This is a Woke company that doesn't practice what it preaches. They make DEI a top priority, and will remove anyone based on anonymous accusations. I saw it happen over and over again, especially to those who belong to a protected class under Federal Law. Forced company progression. It doesn't matter if you like where you are at, or if you are really good at what you do. If you do not wish to progress, they will do everything that they can to force you out of the company. HR is not your friend, and they will use everything that you tell them, or they learn, to force you out. They have reduced their pay rates to what they were paying prior to 2018. Try hiring someone who knows what the current pay rates really are. Especially when they find out that they are expected to be on-call 24/7, which is not in any of the job descriptions. No pay raises. Not even cost of living adjustments. This is a Canadian (for lower taxes) company run by Americans. They were moving as many jobs as possible to India for lower pay rates, but quickly learned that India is no longer as inexpensive as it used to be. The stock price has tanked 50% over the last 4 years, and continues to decline. Those in charge are ignoring the statements made by analysts.

Pros

Weekends and holidays off. Oh, and you only spend 8 hours a day there.

Cons

Hostile work environment created by management, no incentive to do well as you'll never achieve the ridiculous bonus structure they've created (that they also can't explain to you), no true sense of leadership or direction, you'll spend most of your day being broken down, prodded and picked apart. Favoritism is a big issue and you have no creative freedom. If you can't become a clone of someone else on the team they like, there's no use for you. They'll claim to be "helping you out" but really are just covering their own backsides. Don't expect any career growth or advancement no matter how well you perform... they will ALWAYS find something to hold you back. If you are driven by moving up the ladder and jump-starting a career, definitely look elsewhere. There are a lot of fake reviews on here to make the job seem slightly better than what it is, but believe me when I say; If you work here, you will almost immediately regret your decision. You will be treated less than and punished for asking questions.

Antagonistic to Employees

Pros

You'd need an electron microscope to find one.

Cons

Upper management has a very negative attitude towards the employee base. HR is nonexistent: -Benefits cheapened every year -401k match is a joke, except no one is laughing (perhaps the CEO) -Can't keep a head of HR because once they realize they can't do anything to improve employees' situation, they leave. -At one point, HR department reported to Finance. -Employee awards program was eliminated, and we were told that a simple emailed "thank you" should suffice. -CEO doesn't believe in merit raises for employees, and if you take a promotion don't expect your pay to be brought up to code. -CEO personally intervenes to significantly reduce commissions for top sales performers on big deals. -Company is reliant on acquisitions for growth, yet slaps Sales organization with huge organic growth targets which are unachievable due to unwillingness to invest in product or marketing. -All supporting organizations operate on skeleton crews, meaning no work-life balance. -Telework has been severely restricted and badge check have been implements. Note, this is a "technology company" and it's 2019. -Smart and experienced leaders leave because all their best efforts are overruled by CEO's whims.
