Pros

- Decent salary if negotiated correctly. - Can cruise if you’re a top performer. - Benefits are decent. - Tech portfolio is good but decays without investment.

Cons

- No long term investment in most of their tech. Especially for the smaller business units. - Constant hiring freezes and travel bans that are shortsighted - Have to get a competitive offer to get any significant pay increase. Very toxic. - Management will not tolerate self criticism and prefers to parade their accomplishments instead of fixing issues that are holding the company back. - Overbearing bureaucracy that wastes precious time. Strict approval process that requires simple approvals to go to the CEO. For instance, getting a Mac laptop or low margin approval go to Mark B.

Pros

None. There are NONE. Seriously. Look elsewhere. You will be underpaid and overworked. Ask yourself "is this worth my mental health?". There are plenty of other company's that pay better and actually have people who are happy working there.

Cons

Where do I begin? Apathy is the name of the game here on this Sales dev team. Wether it's using 3 different salesforce instances which doesn't sync with any of the tools or being dragged into meeting after meeting which amounts to nothing... it's a complete joke. The team meetings are always led by the sales director which is really only a time to complain about sales and that we're "not doing enough", and then simultaneously follow it up with... "I'm going Costco, let me know if there is anything I can help with". Management isn't even a thing. They just delegate and say they listen to our feedback and ultimately don't do anything or set things in motion to get what the team needs/wants. Nobody on the team gets along and everyone always seems stressed out and miserable . Honestly I could go on and on but this is the gist. Stay away from this awful company!

Pros

I can't think of any.

Cons

The CEO/CFO is aware of the issues raised here on GlassDoor, but openly states he ignores it. You are forced to schedule your vacation time at the beginning of the year, and you cannot carry it over. 401K is a joke. The CEO states, "OpenText is not a place to retire from." Very true. OpenText had their most profitable year ever with employees working remotely. Despite that, they want to force people back into the offices--excuse me, "centers of excellence"--as soon as possible. "We are better together" is yet another catch phrase to justify this. Workflows are convoluted. OpenText cares WAY more about processes than results. OpenText exists solely to acquire other companies. They acquire, rip out what made that company successful, and move on to the next. Once they've made what money they can from the product, get rid of it. They wonder why the talent runs for the door.
