Pros

Nice colleagues and good training. The nice colleagues won't stay though, due to the toxicity created by management.

Cons

Opentext has the most dishonest managers I have ever seen in any company. I don't think a single promise was ever kept to my team. They keep promising to hire more people but they don't, and existing people are quitting due to the extremely toxic atmosphere created by management. Front line managers are just expected to parrot the lies of higher management, until their conscience kicks in and they also quit. My team which should have been 12 people according to our tech manager, never had more than 9 people (near the start) and after 2 years my "team" was just me and one guy in the phillipines. The pressure of doing the job of 6 people led to the worst burnout of my life. At this point HR started to harass, threaten and bully me in an attempt to make me quit. they seem more like a mafia than a tech company. By this stage, my entire team had already quit, including both managers. I was the last one left, but as it was right in covid lockdown and job security was low, I didn't risk to leave untill my health was completely ruined. Worst company i ever worked for. Management is a complete disgrace, especially senior management. Avoid this company AT ALL COSTS unless you do not care about your health at all. They won't.

Never Sure about Direction

Pros

Plenty of work to do if you enjoy setting your own objectives Immediate team works well together for a common goal Serious commitment from management on work life balance

Cons

Working with groups outside my immediate team can be painful and costly. There is very little coordination between teams even with all the software life cycle management tools at our hands. Concern that fellow co-workers will be lost because they no longer fit into the inclusion model and/or due to off-shoring
