Pros

-Some of the health reimbursement benefits were good -My immediate manager was nice

Cons

-The communication is terrible. I worked for a team that had previously been acquired by OpenText, and it was wild how bad things got when we migrated to OT. Nothing was clear, no training was provided, and everyone kept trying to pass around problems rather than take time to figure it out or explain. -HR clearly cannot handle dealing with global employees (I had an HR person forget to send me a ton of forms when I started in 2021, and then I had to beg HR for an exit interview that I never got when leaving in 2022) -Getting help from any other team was impossible if you didn't already know the exact person to contact (many days were spent in wild goose chases) -I think the CEO just liked to hear himself speak. There were so many "town halls" and "all employee meetings" that didn't have any real purpose and just took up time, but if you didn't like it, the CEO made it clear that your best option was to leave -And god help you if you had any sort of computer trouble, because IT was near impossible to get in touch with (simple solutions could take weeks)

Pros

Good work-life balance IF you get a good manager and ELT member. Being able to go fully remote has been nice.

Cons

Everyone is siloed, no one wants to work together and just when you think someone is going rogue you realize that this is actually what the culture of OpenText is. There is no real culture, they hide this fact behind food trucks and internal conference calls where the CEO trots out and speaks to random speakers (though the speakers are good sometimes). Anyone good has left the company or is leaving, taking with them a lot of knowledge, skills and trade-secrets. Those that are left behind and just bitter about the work they now have and couldn't be bothered to help resolve issues.
