Pros

Growing company with exposure to many security products and a wide array of clients. Great from a technical standpoint you can learn many different products and have exposure to cutting edge technology.

Cons

The company merged with another company early 2015, since then the company has been downhill. The focus has moved from customer focus to profitability, sales numbers and margins. If you do not fit the new management model they are more than happy to ask you to leave the company.

We’re striving and working hard to maintain a valued working environment for each of our employees, but we realize this can be a challenging task in times of change. You are right – there are immense opportunities for growth and being at the forefront of innovation and working with forward-looking technologies and security products at Optiv. Pros

I'm not certain there are any pros. Remote work?

Cons

Forced to Sign: * Agreement to be recorded / viewed on video and the video used for any purpose. * Agreement to never cover laptop camera. (Put that together and you give consent to be recorded in your home using software they install on the company laptop.) Culture: * Everything you do will be monitored via web cam and Zscaler. * You will spend a lot of time onboarding reading about how to be empathetic and communicate in a way that's not demanding or rude. But, no one at the company follows these guidelines. When you have "open office" with (whomever the guy is) you'll likely just hear/see people just arguing with, and talking over, each other. * HR is vicious for whatever reason. I think it's because they don't interact with remote workers in person and don't see them as human beings, just emails to get angry with. * Unlimited PTO is in fact limited. Sick time, yeah that's PTO and counts against you. Unlimited PTO without accrual is so if they lay you off they don't have to pay out any PTO time.
