Pros

Excellent executive leadership, large company with plenty of options if you move around, telecommute options, good programs support diversity, good bullet on resume to transition to another company

Cons

Poorly ran middle management focused on maintaining status quo operations, fearful of initiative and change, thinks that "productive work" is defined on your computer keyboard strokes which is the most backwards stupid approach to "managing" remote work. Managers have a dashboard that records mouse movement and they use that to determine if you are "working" which makes no sense for knowledge workers (just resist and write a simple Python code to spoof that system). For example, if you are reading a printed report, text or article which was part of my role working in analytics, then it appears to management that you are not working. Management too busy to build authentic working relationships which in a remote environment is key. The environment is rife with toxic fixed-mindset, not worth the 100K+ salary for somebody that values growth, collaboration and tackling problems with creative solutions and initiatives.

Pros

PTO is decent and accrued biweekly. Team environment driven and 100% remote.

Cons

The FWAE Commercial department has a very high turnover rate for management and employees. The training is the worst I’ve ever encountered in years which I believe is why the turnover rate is extremely high for both management and regular employees. This department has leaders in charge who are not qualified for these positions resulting in frustration among many of the team. Productivity outweighs quality in this department as well as actual skill needed to do the job. The level of micromanaging is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in my past jobs. I would not recommend this job or department to my worst enemy.
