Pros

Prior to new leadership Optum was a great company to work for. Pay was good.

Cons

Benefits are wanting. Jobs are being cut in America to move offshore. Management consistently lies to their employees about job security only to come back and hack large chunks of operations.

Pros

The direct team mates you work with are positive and hard-working. There is internal advancement after completing 12 months in role.

Cons

Current leadership is inconsistent with the message and micromanages the representatives. Workloads are also uneven among the team of representatives, and management often fails to notice or take action. Performance reviews are inconsistent as well, and it can be difficult to complete monthly submissions for performance evaluation depending on your schedule. Leadership talks a big talk about being willing to step in and help, but often just delegates the offer to help to someone else.
