Pros

The owners. No egos or demand to be right. Instead, they ask for feedback and suggestions. They encourage everyone to look for the the best/right way to do things and are open to ideas from anyone and everyone. They have invested and continue to invest in new, more experienced leadership. When the company does well, they're generous to all employees (unscheduled bonuses) and even built a new, state of the art, clean, and safe facility. Work/Life balance is the best I've experienced. No pressure or expectation to work late or over weekends. In fact, they encourage you to disconnect and leave work at work.

Cons

Constant growth and keeping up with orders can be hard. Adjusting to new management can be difficult too so consistency and setting expectations will help. Spreading out the workload to avoid overtime and being sent home early in certain times of year would be nice too.

It's true, Ore is growing and with that growth comes unsuspected growing pains. We're trying hard to continually make Ore a better place to work and will keep investing in leadership and other programs to make us better.

Doesn’t seem like a very secure company.

Pros

The product is actually really awesome. Definitely some cool people working there.

Cons

Layoffs and firing rampages (even outside of Covid) Non-communicated expectations and poor/hostile reactions to helpful suggestions. It seems like there is a lot of turnover both voluntary and involuntary, which is always questionable at a company. Overall the company doesn’t seem very stable.

Thank you for your input. We agree... our products are awesome and we definitely have some cool people working here! I'm new to the company and so is a renewed focus on HR (that's my role). This is just one of the areas the owners have and continue to invest in to make the company better. And I'm glad to report that things are most certainly getting better. Our employee turnover rate for 2020 is down to an all-time low of 3.1%. For every 100 employees we hire, only 3 don't last. While we recognize this is an improvement, we still think it's too high and we'll continue working on it!

Pros

It's exciting to watch Ore grow! We moved into a new building this year and owners are hiring new leadership which is awesome. We have a new HR guy who cares and is making a lot of needed improvement. They're taking care of us during COVID-19 by keeping us working and doing everything they can to keep us safe. Never bother us outside work hours or on weekends. Love this company.

Cons

Growing means change and we're figuring out new ways to do things all the time. Sometimes it's confusing but we're all working hard and doing what we can to keep improving. New management is good and helping improve things that have been missing for a long time.

Thanks "Cool Company". We're (employees and management are) pleased by the improvements we've made and will keep focusing on other areas where we can do better. Thanks for noticing!
