Pros

-Every interaction with coworkers, supervisors, and managers has been positive and helpful -It's awesome to see what you've designed using CAD being fabricated -When it comes to design, there's a good mix of adhering to industry standards and designing based off your preference and style

Cons

-Schedule is advertised as 4/10's, but whenever demands need to be met, it turns into 5/10's.

We’re glad to hear that your experience with coworkers, supervisors, and managers has been positive and helpful. Seeing your CAD work move from design into fabrication is something we love just as much as you do. That connection between design and finished product is one of the things that makes Ore a unique and rewarding place to work and learn. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the schedule. Our standard schedule is built around four 10-hour days, and we understand that additional Friday work can be difficult when production demands increase. While overtime is sometimes necessary during busy periods, we schedule it thoughtfully and sparingly, and do our best to avoid making it the norm. We’re continuing to evaluate how we plan workload, staffing, and project timelines so we can better balance customer needs with employee well-being. Thank you again for your feedback and for the work you contribute to Ore Designs.

Decent Company

Pros

Great company if you really like to work overtime to meet deadlines that the company can't figure out how to schedule properly. This is also a great company to work for if you don't want to advance in your career anytime soon.

Cons

Turn over is high on the shop floor. You will most likely be underpaid and overworked. 50 work weeks are common for hourly workers. They say they don't work weekends but that is a lie. During the summer don't expect to have a two day weekends every week if you work on the shop floor. If you are salary they still expect you to put in extra hours without extra paid or compensation for those extra hours. Morale is constantly low in every department and instead of trying to fix it the higher management will be too busy trying to make themselves look good instead of making the company better.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re sorry to hear that Ore Designs was not the right long-term fit for you. Ore is a growing manufacturing and fabrication company, and our work can be deadline-driven, seasonal, and demanding at times. We make every effort to plan responsibly, communicate schedule needs in advance, and balance customer commitments with the well-being of our team. We also work to provide competitive pay, meaningful work, and opportunities for employees to learn and grow within the company. As with any growing organization, we continue to evaluate where our systems, communication, staffing, and training can improve. While we may not agree with every characterization in this review, we do appreciate employee feedback and take it seriously. We remain committed to building a workplace where employees are treated respectfully, expectations are clear, and people have the opportunity to do good work and develop their skills. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
