Pros

Pay and benefits are really good and above the industry standard.

Cons

The IT division is really behind and there are a lot of the old guard left that refuse to make changes or push for efficiencies. There is also a lot of back stabbing, disorganization, lack of collaboration, decisions are made in silos all which make for a really toxic working environment.

Pros

Other departments might provide a better working environment, good salary and benefits, good public transit options, scenic campus.

Cons

Top down leadership environment that retaliates against nurses/women who report patient safety issues or abusive treatment by providers. Current nursing and faculty leadership of CHM/CHH are not patient centered, and significant decisions are driven by ego and power/control issues. There has been an exodus of Nurse Coordinators in the last few years due to poor management, lack of support and a culture of fear.

Pros

The kids are absolute angels, and you form strong long lasting relationships with them

Cons

I would give this place -5 stars if I could. I have PTSD from this place and will NEVER return after the way I was treated. High turn over, Medical assistants act like the mean girls in high school and will 100% talk behind your back, the manager has no idea what she’s doing and couldn’t care less about you, no matter how good at your job you are, it’s all about the politics and you will never be treated fairly. God forbid you get sick and land in the hospital, because you will get looked down upon and talked bad about if you’re sick. It’s the most toxic environment I have ever witnessed. You couldn’t pay me enough money to work there ever again. You also will never get a lunch, or any breaks. I would come home and go straight to bed because I was so burnt out. They don’t care if you don’t get breaks because you’re getting paid during them. They don’t treat you like a human at all.
