Pros

Orkin does provide the right technology for excellent service (depending on the ethics of each technician, of course). There is constant training and updates for the technical side of Orkin. Management TRIES to provide a helping hand but it's amazing to me how behind the times they are!

Cons

PAY. PAY. PAY. Benefits. I've worked for many great companies who compensate their employees properly but Orkin seriously lacks the competitive edge. I am loyal to Orkin because in 6 years, I've seen so many other bad pest control companies and how they operate so I would never work for another PC company BUT in 6 years, my pay raise has been about 1% a year, if I'm lucky! They only pay 5% on one-times (bed bug, bird work, product sales) which is ridiculous.

Other techs are good people who feel your common grievances and you occasionally were actually helping people.

Cons

Total micromanagement. You will never have a personal life and you will become an orkin slave. You constantly have a break label laws from middle management pressures. There is never enough time to do your job properly bc they try to get you to do 17 stops a day. There is no loyalty and you are completely disposable. Ladies in the office are miserable and the managers are sales men who don't know anything about pest control. They don't value their customers and you have to constantly answer for stupid company policies. Run away you will have no life
