      High-pressure environment that may not suit “ baby “phlebotomists

      Pros

      Fast-paced environment, exposure to a variety of patients, opportunity to gain experience in an inpatient setting.

      Cons

      No benefits or PTO in the PRN role. Training felt rushed with limited hands-on support, and there was an expectation to become independent quickly. The work environment could feel unsupportive at times, and team dynamics may be very challenging for new hires.
