      Pros

      Preferred Education so you pay nothing out of pocket. Benefits are great.

      Cons

      Pay is ridiculous. You're there for almost 5 years and training people who make $2 dollars for than you because they don't bump up current employees when the average hiring pay increases. Managers in the Emergency Department fall all over the men that work in the department at ORMC. It is clear favoritism seen by most everyone.

      Supportive staff, but poor management and job insecurity

      Liked the staff that I worked with.

      Cons

      No pay raise unless you were unionized. Orlando Health bought our hospital, told us they were going to renovate it, a month later, they closed the hospital. It was like playing Hunger Games to transfer to another location. They expected you to commute and/or relocate with no pay adjustment.

The situation at Rockledge was unfortunate, extensive hazardous conditions were discovered, including raw sewage leaks, black mold in the ER, and foundational damage. The decision was necessary to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
