We appreciate your feedback and are proud of the breadth and depth of knowledge of our people. We understand that not every role is conducive to remote work, and the pandemic has been especially hard for our new hires. Don’t be shy about reaching out to your managers, co-workers and HR team for help with prioritization, they will have tips and insights that can help.

Pros

Excellent leadership, mission and genuinely cares about the financial professionals they serve

Cons

Securities America reorganized in 2011 and had been a great place to work, but AG’s takeover has left many feeling cautious or fearful of where the company is headed and if it will even exist in a couple years

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and share your experience with Advisor Group’s leadership. This past year was certainly a time of great change within AG as we integrated the Ladenburg Thalmann family of companies into AG, which included Securities America, alongside the challenges created by the global pandemic. Mergers alone can create periods of uncertainty, and we are grateful to you and all our colleagues who remained focused on the role you play in delivering on our mission of serving advisors and being in their corner. The financial health and performance of the AG enterprise continues to be strong as we growth both organically and through mergers and acquisitions.

Pros

-Can work remotely for some positions

Cons

-If you live in CA, CO, MT, or NE and don't take any or much PTO throughout the year, you get a check for any hours over the 40 hour rollover. If you're in any other state, you're out of luck and you just lose it. I was forced to take roughly 120 hours of PTO in November and December 2020 knowing I was going to lose it, even though I still worked during my time off due to regulatory deadlines, but found out all of my coworkers (who are all in the states listed above) were getting a paycheck for their unused PTO. Not a fair policy at all. -ALL applicants have to be sent and approved by the CEO before they can be hired. I suggest staying away if you have the option. -Logic and common sense have no room here -You have an idea? Great! Throw it out the window because it'll fall on deaf ears and nothing will change. -You can send all the requests you want to upper management but you'll never get a response, unless it's for something they want of you. So, your requests will be ignored. -You can take on two jobs at once (due to COVID times) and excel at both of them, but will they realize that and compensate you fairly for it? No way. Just a pat on the back and a "thanks for saving us money."

We respect your position and experience at Advisor Group, and it’s frustrating for us that yours was not positive based upon your review. We are quite diligent to be compliant regarding PTO which legally varies by state in the US. Our CEO, Jamie Price, while quite involved in talent strategy, is not involved in reviewing all applicants as we trust the leaders across the organization to make talent decisions to support the business. Additionally, we implement numerous employee suggestions every year and continue to request “Bright Idea” submissions to improve our business and work environment. Employee feedback is paramount to how to make things better. We do expect great things from all of our employees and our workloads are heavy and complex at times. Strong performance is rewarded and ideas are valued. We have retained strong talent across the enterprise at every site, in every function and at every level as we build for a successful future to deliver the best for our financial professional network.
