Pros

Engineers and architects work under one roof although the collaboration is minimal.

Cons

-Average designs that only meet the needs of profit driven clients. -Unethical practices and not a healthy environment to work in. -The business development team is disengaged from the architecture team; no culture, no values.

Thanks for your honest feedback. One of the best attributes of Otak is its multidisciplinary approach to everything we do. Engineers and architects work side by side, both in their workspaces and on projects. In the past couple of years, we've invested heavily in building a transparent, fun work environment where everyone is valued. Salaries Sub Par

Pros

Some gifted minds. Neat national and international clients.

Cons

I can attest that the salaries are sub par for the industry. This may not be true for management and principals, etc. But some senior, entry, and intermediate salaries are not on par, in my opinion. Also other things that are cited on Glassdoor are often rebutted in some long response by Otak. I think it kind of just verifies that these messages aren't landing on fertile ground. Sorta funny.
