Pros

Good Culture and Mission Statement. Great training with possibilities for international travel.

Cons

Management and HR do not take complaints seriously. Claim to have zero tolerance policies for some things then they make exceptions for some people.

Pros

Incredible corporate mission, beautiful industry, and lots of room for personal development. German flat hierarchy removes the American ladder system and allows for a lot of colleague collaboration regardless of title or years experience. It's not everyday you get an opportunity to work for a global company and work on projects directly with your CEO. The company moved their North American HQ from Minneapolis to Austin in 2014 so it is undergoing a transition from a mom and pop shop to an actual business with a structure. I joined the team in 2014 and have had a great careergrowth and a wonderful work/life balance.

Cons

Feels like a start-up, but it's not a start up (company has been around since 1919), since the HQ was moved from Minneapolis to Austin. Lots of room for process improvement, change is listened to, and very optimistic for the future.

Pros

Ottobock is totally committed to their mission of helping people maintain or regain their freedom of movement. It's obvious in everything that we do. I've been employed for less than a year but I already feel that I can create my own destiny within the company. The day speeds by, I love my team, and helping people gain their mobility again is just the icing on the cake.

Cons

We have issues with process and procedures. In a way it's nice because you can create you own - but getting the team to have the same process is something we're working on. I feel like this is changing rapidly so I have a good say in how it develops.
