Pros

Really good work\life balance and benefits, and opportunity for remote work! Great ability to grow career as managers seem to really care about career development. Nice culture with wonderful people, but most are remote so it can be hard to feel connected sometimes. Small company feel with big impacts, I've felt like I am able to make a large impact on the teams I've worked with. Opportunity to work on a wide variety of aspects across software/hardware development. All-around wonderful place to work.

Cons

Information dissemination could be better, often times needed information is niche and it's hard to track down who knows what.

Pros

Challenging work, company support of certifications and education, work/life balance, most roles offer partial remote work, most team members great to work with.

Cons

Rough patch a couple years ago with 2 large layoffs, which hit morale a lot. Company and morale have both recovered well though. Maturing as a company has introduced processes that can be frustrating at times.

Pros

A good place to obtain experience.

Cons

Don't plan on having a long-term career at Owl. The problem with working at Owl is that it is owned by DC Capital Partners. DC Capital is using an aggregation model to grow. Which means they are acquiring companies and eliminating redundant positions. So, the purpose of Owl as well as other DC Capital holdings is to make a profit for DC Capital. Owl, as a subsidiary, is an afterthought and is there to serve DC Capital's purposes, even at the detriment of Owl and its employees.
