Horrible middle management

Pros

Oxford offers a competitive salary and the company is growing at a fast speed. There's always interesting projects to work on.

Cons

Salary is only competitive because they don't pay overtime. The higher salary is supposed to compensate for the incredible amount of overtime you will need to do. They promise work life balance but their definition of work life balance is leaving on time and logging in from home at night time. I often sat there not having anything particularly urgently due until 10 or 11pm just because they wouldn't let me leave. Some of the middle management have no clue what they are doing and they over work their staff to produce the work with additional supporting information to dumb it down for them. They'll even roll their eyes at you if you tell them you have to leave on time today.

Beware - constant state of change

Pros

Competitive salary and great benefits. Employees who have been there for 5+ years are amazing to work with and still value a positive employee culture. Great downtown corporate office location with sit/stand desks, employee lounge, and convenient building amenities.

Cons

Lack of leadership, direction and insight. New employees are focused on themselves and their own work, limiting opportunities for collaboration. Employees who have been there for years are rarely recognized, appreciated or promoted internally. Company has gone through negative change over the past 5 years, no longer putting people first and poor change management.

Not a bad company, just not the best people

Pros

Fun job, I enjoyed my time there. The staff are really encouraged to go above and beyond and are rewarded for doing so.

Cons

There is a glass ceiling above which you cannot move if you are not among the clique of young professionals. If they take a personal dislike to you, despite your exceptional performance, you are doomed.
