-Management expects tutors to work with usually over 3 students at a time, which is incredibly difficult when trying to provide meaningful tutoring sessions and also meeting the performance metric requirements.
-Upper management has horrible communication and does not address tutor concerns.
-Lots of layoffs and quiet firing of many tutors within the past year and a half, including the student safety team that used to help students in crisis or who expressed anything concerning that required a follow-up/check-in with the student and the school. Additionally, many HQ employees and tutors have quit due to the work environment and status of the company.
-There used to be opportunities for growth in the company, but within the past few years, they were gotten rid of.
-Tutors were expected to help train AI (AI meant to take over some duties of our jobs) which added to our workload. When many tutors asked about raises due to this added workload and the time it took away form our other duties, upper management said that they did not see it as additional work and would therefore not be giving us a raise.
