PBF Energy plant managers typically have a hands off approach and rely heavily on lower level salaried employees. 3. PBF Energy promotes training and provides a reimbursement program for employees. 4. Health benefits are competitive with the industry. 5. Salaried employees are given the opportunity to work independently without being micro-managed.

This is a new company (though by no means tiny), so every employee plays an important role. Independent workers thrive in this atmosphere and have the opportunity to really put their fingerprints on the organization. Employees are very nice and strive for a strong teamwork atmosphere to keep the business running smoothly. Managers are mostly hands-off. Many of the experienced employees were hired by PBF after they were layed off from other companies (usually after 20 or 30 years with those companies)...the owner of the company should get a gold star just for that. Benefits are excellent.
