Great pay and benefits Questionable Atmosphere

Working in the Underground as an apprentice most of the guys are great. Most of the foreman and supervisors had some experience actually working in the field so they understand what we go through on a daily basis but, there does seem to be a racist atmosphere here especially the way some of the older white first class guys treat the black apprentices. I've noticed it now on 2 occasions now where a black apprentice was being harassed and instead of the company actually doing something proactive about it they swept it under the rug and in one instance the actually fired the black apprentice! I just try and keep my head down and do my job because the pay and benefits are great but the integrity of this company is questionable.
