Good company but lacks in

Pros

The people at the company are passionate and buy into the direction the CEO is driving. They honestly care about their members and the work that they do to provide services. The benefits are decent and the pay is good.

Cons

The folks are too reluctant to drive innovation and change. New leadership wants to promote a culture change but it's hard to get long tenured employees and lower level management to buy in. Process improvement was lacking across the board and leadership seemed to have a hard time ensuring accountability. Smaller company so there was pretty much NO work/life balance offered. Too many employees wore multiple hats and that slowed progress and impaired efficiency.

Pros

You can be a super-star with little knowledge or experience - just common sense. Co-workers are generally friendly and fun to be around. You can climb the "ladder" quickly if that's your desire.

Cons

The majority of management is horrible. There are a few stars, but even they will be held back by VPs or Executives. The rest of the managers are simply yes-men trying to climb the ladder and will do whatever it is they are told irregardless of the consequences.

Miserable

Pros

My direct manager was kind. There is room to move up, but you have to be an Msr for at least 6 months before you can move up. I couldn't leave to be an Msr for any longer than I needed to, hence why I am no longer there, nor had desire to move up once I was done with training.

Cons

I don't even know where to start. I have never been so miserable at a job before. I put my 2 weeks notice in, worked the first week, and the second week said screw it and walked out. I never imagined myself just walking out of a job, but, in the end I figured I value my happiness more. I truly would never recommend this company to anyone as a place of employment.
