Pros

People are nice, free coffee, and benefits

Cons

If your looking to just get by, this is the place for you. High performers will not stay in this organization. Hard work is not noticed and poor performance is not addressed. Both are considered valued employees. Everyone gets the same 3% raise annually and bonus at the end of the year. Boss doesn’t differentiate you from anyone else so why try. If you dress nicely and professional it doesn’t matter, you’re treated the same as the person who comes in jeans and sneakers every day. It’s a place that if you’re looking to coast and retire, you will fit right in. If you are looking for a place to share ideas, collaborate and go to the next level, you will be incredibly frustrated.

Idea collaboration and professional advancement are positively encouraged here. It’s disappointing to know that you haven’t shared those same experiences.

Thank you for your feedback. We would suggest that any employee with difficulty in their department go to their HR Rep to discuss solutions. We also encourage open and honest feedback during the monthly 1-1 conversations with the manager.

Pros

You get paid twice a month, and you get paid for not being there sometimes. They schedule “employee appreciation” events during your shift to make you feel valued... oh wrong section. Also they will solicit employees to leave good reviews on sites just like this one because 98% of genuine reviews are negative.

Cons

Ask 3 people in leadership the same question and get 3 different answers more often than not. Technology is superbly outdated, our members couldn’t even see pending transactions on our app and website until just recently which even adding that simple decades old tech caused our system to completely glitch out. I was told in my interview it wasn’t high pressure sales at all, no commission etc. which is great except a blatant lie. There is no commission however half of your scorecard is based on sales stats... the score card is your only way to get a schedule that isn’t horrible, get a position that isn’t horrible, not get fired and so on. So yeah sales are all it is, which is ironic because most of your calls are just people super disappointed in Penfed as a whole so good luck selling them anything.
