Pros

I had a lot of autonomy in my schedule. The work we did was amazing; it was great a benefit to our local communities

Cons

No On-call pay; Pay was low for the market and job function; Corporate management was trying to make the company profitable by cutting cost and not growing our product portfolio. Corporate management actions have started to really affect morale. No career advancement opportunities

Career path non-existent for project managers, little to no management buy-in on methodologies to optimize projects and advance cmmi rating, must be able to do multiple jobs
