Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

The pay, the people, the work they do. This place is a meat grinder. Upper management is incompetent and self-aggrandizing. It promotes yes men and cronies and beats down honesty and integrity. "Leadership", if you can call them that, have no idea what they are doing. Every decision they make is ill informed and ends up making everyone below them's life more difficult. If you are reading this and still choose to work here or do business with them you have no one to blame but yourself when you come to regret it.

Great career if you don't have a family

Pros

I get to meet a lot of great people through my customers and have great conversations with people who really appriciate us being there to help them. I also get to meet a lot of great people through my team and other store managers.

Cons

PLS has their priorities all wrong. Upper management makes the big bucks and expects everyone else to act and dress like they make the same $ as they do. I understand being professional and being courteous but not everyone has the $ to buy new clothes or new shoes just because they decided to wake up one day and think that our uniforms are not to their likings when we have worn the same thing for months, even years for some. PLS expects their store managers to be "all about the people" when it comes to our teams, which I have no problem with because it builds my team to be strong, but store managers don't get the same respect from their upper management. We are expected to live and breathe PLS. If we have family issues we get the 3rd degree if we can't work to handle those issues. We are expected to work 50+ hours a week and have no life because even when we are not there we take calls all day and night. It is exhausting working with this company and has really defeated a lot of people and broke them down. Do yourself a favor and don't ever take any position over an assistant manager. Your family life is non existent once u become a store manager. Every position above that can do whatever they want and leave early if they need to or take care of their family whenever they need to.
