Pros

American Travel benefits and great bases

Cons

-In-flight management is a mess, power hungry and too busy acting like they are a mainline then doing the job they have. -The union is a joke, even with the AFA backing they are still not able to do anything of value. -Scheduling is not flexible in anyway. No allowance to drop trips, even when there are a ton of reserves. FAs are paying other FA$100's just to get a day off. -FA's are abused, one senior in-flight manager was quotes as saying "we have a surplus of Flight Attendants so we can do what we want" -Horrible pay, even for a regional. -No sense of direction, culture or company values.

Pros

We (FAs) now have the option to hand out AviatorRed MasterCard applications on board during flights. We receive excellent commission for approved apps. Super easy way to literally double your salary. Great for new FAs. Also- Flying Free (Non Rev) is no longer based on seniority...whomever checks in first...gets on the plane first!!! You can fly anywhere in the world American flies. What's not to 💘 love?

Cons

Travel has to be in your DNA or you won't like the long hours...especially during irregular operations.

Pros

Having 3 days off in a row.

Cons

Where to start? ... Teamwork: I see this in the new hires as they have to work together to try and figure out what to do as "training" is a joke. Shifts are assigned "leads", also a joke as some feel "entitled" with this position. As certain leads say newer people are there to do what they dont want to. And when "supervisors" are not around the attitude of these leads gets worse. The language, the sexist comments, crudeness and vulgarity, the laziness of said above. People should not have to feel uncomfortable at their place of employment and knowing that site management will do nothing about it. The minimal pay and headache is not worth it. And this is just saying things lightly. ***This applies to the store/parts department*** Ohio location.
