Pros

I was granted some schedule flexibility because of the department I worked in

Cons

Management Working atmosphere was fractured and distrustful at times, it made it challenging to feel like you could even trust what other analysts were reporting was even accurate. Even when I kept my head down and my voice out of any drama I was still scolded collectively and had privileges taken away for largely unexplained reasons. Morale was constantly low, despite our best efforts to go out for drinks once in a blue moon. I could honestly right an essay on the mismanagement of Pace. They never gave us a real manager, except for an overworked vindictive person who currently manages 2 Pace locations and obviously favors one. If I spoke up about something, the manager then would explain how great "her" lab was better at x,y,z (as if the one I worked in wasn't hers either). When pressed about the steps they took to bring their lab to that point, "oh I trained them" which is another point, training is 100% up to the coworkers next to you. If they don't care enough to train, you won't learn anything until QAQC comes around and shows you all of the errors you have made in the last 6 months.

Pros

... During the buyout they seem to spoil you with never ending free lunches, so you get to save a little bit on your grocery bill per week. If you like working 20-30 extra hours per pay period more than you agreed to, more days than you agreed to, more late nights.... ect.... this is maybe the place for you if you also happen to like sadism.

Cons

They buy out mom and pop science labs and will reduce the staff by an 8th and still expect you to perform at the same productivity level with no extra help. If your job involves weekend rotation, when the downsizing occurs you will be expected to work 60-70 hour work weeks and usually work 3 weekends a month. They do not like to give out raises for the extra stress and workload they demand due to their "budget cutting" of staff. They will actually laugh in your face for even asking for a raise or help!!! This place really loves their employees!

Pros

Coworkers are great. Short commute.

Cons

It is impossible for a female to be a principal chemist. PhD's are revered no matter how dumb they are. I'm micro-managed every single day. My mission seems to be making the owner and investors a butt-ton of money.
