      It was an opportunity to get some experience.

      Cons

      My identity was stolen here! Years after my internship, I received a letter from yellowpages to confirm a business listing that I did not own. It had my name, my address, and a phone number that didn't belong to me. I called the number, and it belonged to the man who had trained me for this internship. I thought it was too big of a coincidence not to investigate. I spent a lot of time speaking with various people with Pacific Clinics trying to sort it out, and they didn't take the situation seriously. This person still works there, and they did not try to resolve this issue.

      Pros

      Solid experience with broad range of clients and types of mental health issues. Good training at sites and central training center. Many caring service staff and clients generally receive good services. Pay and benifits are reasonably good not great - though senior managers and executives do well.

      Cons

      Inconsistent management priorities and generally unclear communications between and among executive staff. Some sacred cow employees a couple of princesses and many big babies at that level. HR was ineffective in providing support to managers down the line. Some of the upper-management turnover is for the better, but this will be a long term turnaround to get it right.

      Pros

      This is one of the best jobs I've ever had. My supervisor let us run our own schedules, and as long as we got the work done we good to go. Supervisor gave regular praise and encouragement, always backed us up if we did what we were supposed to do. Workload was solid, but not overwhelming. Flexible schedules and tasks. Supervisor encouraged us to continue education and branch out.

      Cons

      Other sites were not as positive as ours. CEO/Management has become very tight with money and let a large portion of employees go while continuing to hire executive administrators. Corporate office isn't connected with other offices, so there is often a lot of back-and-forth when trying to get things fixed or changed.
