The Customer Service department for Commercial used to give the best customer service of any company I've worked for. Great training, employees were motivated to give great service and employees were supported by management.
Fast forward to getting a new department manager and we haven't been the same since. The manager promotes a toxic, back stabbing culture. Being lied to consistently by the manager is apparently okay according to upper management. Many changes implemented in the department that have made it not operate nearly as efficiently as before and many people have left or are leaving because of this manager. Upper management and HR care not one bit.
Pay is lower than it should be, considering how much we are supposed to know and do; Customer Service has to learn not just their job but the jobs of other departments and take their calls when they're at meetings. Treated like an entry level job when it's anything but.
Returning to the office one day a week- seriously? We've proved that we can work remotely and everyone is saving money and saying they have better work-life balance. If someone is having performance issues or wants to return to the office then they should, but the rest of us should have the perk of working remotely. Why they're willing to lose employees over this is beyond me.
