Hospital has no respect for its nurses during the pandemic and no support from management.
Pros
Nice people to work with, the nurses and RTs care about the patients and have a good attitude
Cons
Hospital has no respect for its nurses during the pandemic and no support from management. Nurses work constantly out of ratio the last 2 months. ICU ratio 3-4 patients per Rn. Medsurg 6-1 ratio Tele 5-1. Hospital does not hire experienced Rn and does not hire extra staff to assist during pandemic. Place is run for profit and they really proved this during the health crisis. There is no growth opportunities basically 2 types of Staff Rns that have been working there ones for longer than 10+ years and new nurses there is no in between. Hospital care provided is sub par compared to hospitals in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Looks like a decent medical facility from the outside has new equipment etc but basically it’s a low level community hospital with basic services. They do not offer a higher level of care so you witness a lot of poor patient outcomes with low level MD providers. hospitalist, no support from management
