Pros

-Fortune 500 company -somewhat decent pay

Cons

- No mentorship or growth opportunities - Colleagues will backstab you by complaining to your manager instead of coming to you with their feedback ( helping someone means that because you are helping someone, the business is impacted which is unacceptable) - Collaboration is frowned upon; if you ask for help thats too much then its held against you if you aren't a favorite on the team. - Work Life balance isn't taken seriously; "Unlimited PTO" is an illusion for most people while other people are given the luxury to take weeks off every other week while other people are not.

Worst place

Pros

Salary, RSUs but diminishing rapidly.

Cons

The culture is going south in all aspects (compensation, core values etc). Managers have been told to rate people in the bell curve format for performance reviews and that too every 6 months. Nobody can survive unless you are part of your manager's inner circle.

Pros

-good pay but 401k is a joke -great products

Cons

Nobody could have predicted that the new CEO change would completely dismantle our entire culture and everything that made Palo Alto Networks a great place to work. It is now a depressing place where most of the top talent is running for the hills. The leadership team does not embody our core values, people are no longer at the heart of our culture, nepotism is so blatant it's disgusting. There are too many new leaders who have no idea what they are doing but being paid well due to cronyism. The people who built the company are treated as less than because we aren't in the Google inner circle. We have a Chief PEOPLE Officer who doesn't even pretend to like people and communication in the org is abysmal. Attrition will continue to spike.
