Pros

The hours are flexible and the job is easy. Just made sure the orders are correct before you go out the door. You're always running around so it never is boring, and being able to spend my driving time listening to audio books is enjoyable.

Cons

As long as the tips are good, the job pays off. Sometimes the in-stores tick off customers before I've delivered their order, ruining my chance for a tip. 90% of my time I'm making $4 for being on the road so tips mean everything just to break even on gas during the slow times. Also, if it's busy or someone doesn't show, don't even think about asking to leave when your shift ended 2 hours ago. I wouldn't mind if I was asked, but being forced to doesn't make me want to work harder.

Pros

My department has a history of advancement opportunities. Company focus as a whole is to make it feel like family.

Cons

That history of advancement seems to be gone. And middle and upper management seems cut throat. Lots of turnover/forcing people out. New middle management in my department acts like he just came out of military though he never was in it. Fluffs up everything he says like he is writing some complex policy even with simple email communications. He fast tracks new employees with similar degree and lifestyle to his, but neglects seasoned staff. He treats us like our positions aren't worth anything and no one could possibly move up from it.

Terrible company

Pros

Can develop lasting friendships with coworkers, flexible hours, can gain management experience without having prior management experience.

Cons

Job expectattoos for the General Managers are not realistic. Labor goals cannot be met while providing the service goals provided and maintaining the cleanliness and high productivity at the same times. Constant micromanaging from office. District managers change their responses to what fits the current situation and never follow through or come to their stores to coach or develop managers or staff but constantly criticize the management. They claim to focus on retention but treat employees so terrible the only reason anyone stays is because of who they work with. Very underpaid for the day to day expectations and hustle required in a high volume store.
