Pros

WLB is great Most people are a pleasure to work with Great benefits

Cons

Can get into a comfort zone here Since it's such a large company with so many engineers and teams, you can find yourself specializing in one small specific thing, this can be a pro if you like it this way though. TC is a little low for software engineers

Thank you very much for the candid feedback. Our leaders value the thoughts of our employees and former employees. As always, they review feedback from pulse and engagement surveys, and from Glassdoor. Thanks again.

Pros

Cool people great holiday party Pay was good Yearly salary increase with cost of living (3%)

Cons

Company is constantly looking for heads to chop off. Its not a rumor, it's the directive. This makes everyone working there on edge because you don't know if you're on "the list". It hinders collaboration.

Burnout is REAL

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

great benefits, people tend to really care about the brands/projects that they work for

Cons

Like cooking with a bad wine, the merger and constant layoffs have only magnified this company's flaws. Employees are spread thin and overworked. They are consistently asked to work late hours and on weekends. Bad management leads to bad communication and an unawareness of what's actually happening on the ground and who is actually doing all of the work. Undeserving people tend to get promoted. At times it feels like doing group projects in high school where the popular kids will get recognition over the nerds who did all the work. All of the fun and creativity that went along with working at Viacom was completely snuffed out by the CBS merger.
