Pros

- The designers I worked with were some of the best I've ever seen. Grateful to have worked with just talented people.

Cons

- Initial onboarding process was nonexistent. Designers are thrown into the lion’s den without any assistance and are expected to learn workflow and process without being taught. - Pay “adjustment” was completely disrespectful. Personally worked on a different team within ViacomCBS previously and was paid below industry standards. After several months, pay was adjusted, but only a few thousand dollars more - still beneath industry standards. Jobs with the same title pay on average around 30k more than what I was getting paid while at ViacomCBS. - Company and corporate politics made for poor upper management; there was absolutely no respect or appreciation for employees below management. - Management was sloppy and passive aggressive. Oftentimes will micromanage projects, even when said projects were already approved by leads and stakeholders. - Work/Life balance was essentially nonexistent across the board. Designers were expected to work overtime as well as weekends. Management was unapologetic, especially to those working in different timezones. - Management would also constantly talk about change and improvement but do nothing - all talk and no action.

Pros

There's a strong sense of community and offerings for Black and LGBTQ+ employees. Additionally, this is a company that is big on filling the calendar with events to bring offices together including a full day off on Earth Day worldwide so you can volunteer and do service in your local community.

Cons

Bright young things with Ivy League degrees need only apply. I watched people barely out of college be promoted to director and VP positions with no management skills whatsoever. Some departments are toxic and cliquey while others are warm and welcoming. This lack of consistency can be stressful to navigate.
