Pros

None, it was a terrible experiment that I am sorry I tried. The company hired me to do one job, but from day one changed my manager and then demoted me to a lower level job I was way overqualified for. For your sanity, you should never work at Parexel. I am so happy I got away when I got a chance!

Cons

Everything. Antiquated clinical research processes, inadequate training, not using employees for the positions they were hired for, created hostile environment between teams and management.

Pros

Established company. Met great people who share the same frustrations and are the ones who will offer help. Great location, away from the city.

Cons

To many systems in place that do not work well with each other. Too many chiefs, not enough Indians. It's sink or swim and many hours spent looking for answers within many different company based Senior and Line Managers unable to provide help or answers, due to their own workload or lack of knowledge. Many wasted hours looking up answers Finger pointing is common practice for Senior managers and leaders for their own mistakes. Work life balance becoming more and more non-existent. Super-users? Seriously, this is obsolete.

Pros

This is the Cadillac of the industry in terms of training. You will learn a lot and learn it the right way. The facility is very nice and fellow employees are generally nice people and fun to work with.

Cons

I found it extremely stressful in terms of work life balance. The number of hours per week that line management expected an employee to work was unreasonable, especially for salaried employees. It was not at all unusual to be working 12 hour days and then they still wanted more. Employees who chose to work their standard 40 hours were harrassed by line management and made to feel like they would lose their job. It was very stressful from that perspective.
