Pros

Everyone has customer passion, shows up with expertise and enthusiasm. Leadership really pays attention to values and culture, which translates to an awesome can-do and supportive environment. Annual all team gathering is a great example of this.

Cons

Nothing negative, just needs your passion...If you're coming from a large company, success will require personal flexibility and willingness to dive in to create new processes and drive initiatives for growth.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. I really appreciate it. I’m glad the passion for helping our customers and the focus on values stood out to you. We try hard to build a culture where people care about the work, support each other, and bring their expertise to the table every day. I’m also happy you mentioned the annual Summit. It’s one of my favorite traditions because it gives the whole team a chance to connect, learn, and spend time together. Thanks again for being part of the team and helping us keep improving. - Justin Chalfant

Thank you for sharing this. I really appreciate the kind words and the honest feedback. I’m glad the team and our values stood out to you. We work hard to make sure our values show up in how we operate day to day, not just as words on a page. Hearing that it’s felt in the experience of team members means a lot. Scaling always comes with some growing pains, especially as we introduce new tools and processes. We try to approach that with humility and support so team members can continue to grow along with the company. I also appreciate you sharing your perspective around DEI. Creating an environment where people feel respected, supported, and able to grow is very important to us, and feedback like this helps us keep improving. Thanks again for being part of the team. - Justin Chalfant

Work Can Still Be Fun!

Pros

I had recently retired from a large software company after 30+ years of service. I wasn't sure if I was done working but I knew that chapter in my life was done. The things that I had loved about my previous company were long gone. Customer obsession, showing empathy (especially to employees), and humility, to name a few core values, were no longer part of the company culture. Work was no longer fun. It had become just a job. I can honestly say that this was the only scenario and company for which I considered coming out of retirement and pursuing. The leadership team models & lives our core values day-to-day. This has created a culture where employees are empowered to do their best work. I definitely have a passion for the solutions that we build and the lives that we are able to change but how we do it has been the most refreshing to me. Work is fun again.

Cons

I'm not sure I have run across any to date. We're fully remote and flexibility is valued. Maybe a con is not joining PMPC sooner?

Thank you for taking the time to write this. Coming out of retirement after 30 plus years to join Patch My PC is a huge compliment, and I do not take that lightly. I really appreciate how you described what changed at your previous company. It is a good reminder of what can get lost when companies scale, and it is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Customer obsession, empathy, humility, and staying grounded are not posters on a wall for us. They have to show up in how we lead and how we work together every day. I’m also glad work feels fun again. That might sound small, but it is not. Life is too short for a place that drains you. Thank you for being here and for helping us keep our culture strong as we grow. Also, the “not joining sooner” line made me laugh. Justin Chalfant
