Pros

Gain a lot of good experience in digital media, friendly coworkers who help each other out, flexibility of hours, work from home.

Cons

Too many directives from corporate that lacks understanding of local issues and communities, relies too much on aggregation and fluff pieces instead of allowing site editors to concentrate on hyper local news. Workload too heavy for single editor, have to be "on" 24/7, including weekends and holidays. Poor salary, few employee perks.

Pros

- The people there are amazing. Everyone was so friendly and passionate about what they were doing and willing to lend a hand when needed. - Fun office environment, - work hard, play hard type of attitude. - snacks at the office - AMAZING benefits package - equally great commission program - training week in NYC paid for by company - young people

Cons

- work gets repetitive - all the kinks of a start-up company, still pioneering the hyper-local news niche

Pros

They provided state of the art macbooks and ipads. They provided me with a cutting edge internet education.

Cons

Start up that is on the way down - no organization, no product recognition by customers, terrible pay scale. Management were very condescending.
