Pros

Great teammates who are mission oriented and self directed. Able to work remotely most of the time. Pay was decent but not great.

Cons

Weak leaders, bad strategy, poorly designed product. Things looked brighter under the former team, then they became the Temu of local news.

Pros

Modern, open-concept office space with snacks provided. A few teammates were genuinely kind and collaborative.

Cons

- Favoritism toward white male staff, even when their work contained frequent spelling and grammar mistakes - No mentorship or growth opportunities --- reporters expected to handle writing, photography, video, and editing with little support - Exclusionary, boys’ club culture; bias and unequal treatment were clear - Direct manager made inappropriate comments and used profanity in public team chats about staff - Experienced racism and was ultimately pushed out of the organization
