Pros

Lots of room to grow, great and dedicated coworkers, business on the upswing. After the hale global takeover, the environment has become a lot more stable and the vision for the future has become more clear.

Cons

Because of the relatively small staff, the large number of sites and the 24 hour news cycle, the lack of work-life balance can be overwhelming. The staff has a positive attitude, but coverage for off-time is lacking.

Pros

When I first got the job offer, all I knew was the AOL disaster that was Patch from 2013 and before. But the new management has come in and turned everything upside down for the better. Patch has a great vision for the future of local news. And the managers are caring and understanding and committed to not just company growth but personal growth for individual employees.

Cons

The workload is not light. Patch demands a lot out of its employees. But the good ones rise to the challenge to help push this thing forward.
