Stay away if in IT

Pros

Work life balance is really good. Coworkers are great to work with.

Cons

Management in IT has 0 idea what they are doing. They expect everyone to do everything and you end up working on something different every sprint. The problem comes when you cannot learn any one system. Software Engineers barely program and instead do random other technical work. On top of this, IT management hasn't listened to any of the feedback for over a year. They are incredibly out of touch with what is going on despite being told constantly what the problems are.

Incompetent Leadership

Pros

Welcome to hell. The company is a complete disaster.

Cons

Leadership is utterly incompetent and each dept has turnover rates of 40 - 60%. Career suicide. Toxic work culture and internal politics. Audit department is a terrible Mean Girls reboot, whose employees gossip and backstab on another to preserve their jobs. Doesn't welcome any new ideas or anything that is a perceived threat. Death by unreasonable workloads and pointless meetings.

-Many very smart and talented people -Nice facilities -Tons of downtime, if that's your thing

Cons

-Luck of the draw whether you get to do the job you were hired for or not -Some teams are working overtime while others can't get enough work to fill a week -Slack in leadership has to be picked up by lower level employees
